Shops, restaurants, art galleries, wine bars and lit public tennis courts provide a haven for every generation in the family.

At the south end of the Island is Casperson Beach known for famous shark teeth. There is even an annual Sharks Tooth Festival that is held each spring at the nearby Venice Municiple Airport. Naturally, a dog-friendly beach can be found right on the island where pups bring their owners to play in the surf or sniff out new friends in the gated paw park.

The Venice Pier to the South stretches 700 feet into the Gulf. There is bait and tackle shop, and a famous restaurant Sharkeys, one of the few beach front restaurants around.

Farthest north on the island and at the west end of Venice Avenue is Venice Beach, a certified Blue Wave beach on the way you will find an area dotted with condos, classic island homes, plenty of historic Spanish Mediterranean architecture along the way.

Last but not least, don’t forget about the Venice Theater -- one of the largest community theaters in the country.
